When you enter Jerusalem through the Jaffa Gate, the first thing that hits you is the massive stone fortress known as the Tower of David (The Jerusalem Citadel). For many, it’s just a beautiful background for a photo. But for those who know how to look, the Citadel is a physical "timeline" of Jerusalem.
