Day 1

Birth of Modern Tel Aviv


Begin the journey in Old Jaffa, the ancient port city that became the gateway for modern Jewish immigration and the starting point for the rise of Tel Aviv. From the old streets and harbor, the story moves into the first Jewish neighborhoods outside Jaffa and the vision that shaped the first Hebrew city.


Continue through Neve Tzedek and Rothschild Boulevard, where early Zionist ideas became urban reality. The day reaches one of the most symbolic places in modern Israeli history: Independence Hall, where the State of Israel was declared in 1948.

Underground Independence Story

Continue to Latrun, a key site in Israel’s early military history and home to the Armored Corps Museum. The visit adds perspective on the challenges of the 1948 war, the road to Jerusalem, and the role of armored units in Israel’s defense story.

Jerusalem Ancient Roots

The day concludes with a meaningful visit to Pantry Packers, where volunteering connects the tour’s themes of resilience, responsibility, and Israeli society to direct community action.
